El Niño Track (elninotrack.com) is an unofficial English-language summary of public NOAA Climate Prediction Center (CPC) ENSO monitoring data. We are not a government agency and we do not issue forecasts.

What this site shows

We fetch and store publicly published CPC index values (for example RONI), then display phase, strength, and related explanation text. Analog “usually means” copy for places is historical framing, not a local forecast. Source, product, and date are shown with the numbers.

Personal data we collect

We do not run user accounts on this site. We do not ask you to create a profile. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive whatever you send (name, email, message) in ordinary email. Standard web server and CDN logs (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) may be processed by our host (Cloudflare) to operate and secure the site.

Cookies, ads, and analytics

Today the site uses reserved advertisement slots as visual placeholders only. We have not enabled live Google AdSense units or Auto ads yet. If AdSense is approved and turned on later, Google and similar partners may set cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, and measure ads under Google’s advertising policies and Google Privacy Policy.

When ads are live, third parties may use cookies to show ads based on prior visits to this site or other sites (personalized ads), or non-personalized ads where required. You can use Google Ads Settings and browser controls to limit personalized advertising. This site may also show a cookie bar before non-essential tags load.

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-TNGDEESC70) only after you Accept cookies, to understand aggregate traffic and whether the site is working. Until you Accept, we do not load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored in your browser (localStorage) so the cookie bar does not reappear every visit. Reject keeps analytics off. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers only after Accept. We do not use analytics to sell your personal information.

Children

This site is a general-audience English information page. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for accounts; we have no accounts.
